At My Chihuahua Verde, we believe that great food starts with a sustainable approach and a recipe's personal story.
- We are advocates for ordering, preparing, and delivering food at a micro level so that meals are produced with a smaller environmental footprint by reducing the carbon impact of long-distance transportation, layers of boxes and tape, warehousing, and shipping waste.
- We spread awareness of the benefits of ordering from a home kitchen, from the attention owners put into the operation to the heartfelt delivery and story behind each recipe!
- We are committed to environmentally friendly & compostable packaging, eliminating the wasteful use of styrofoam and plastics which are common in traditional meal delivery services [due to cost-cutting priorities].
- We follow the ServSafe Handler & ServSafe Manager practices (and certified in both! as opposed to most kitchen staff who are only certified Handlers), demonstrating that home kitchens follow the most strict health practices and are followed through with care.
Our goal is to create a more sustainable food system while delivering fresh, safe, delicious meals to customers.

Cottage Home Kitchens and Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations (AKA "MEHKO") are a relatively new concept (MEHKO just recently approved in some states) so we advocate to bring the community together and move it forward.
